Tour Description

We begin from the Indian plains, the foothills of the Himalayas, and climb up and into the interior, gaining an altitude of around 3,500 meters. The beauty of this route is the sheer variety of nature, culture and lifestyle we meet along the way. From the sub-tropics to the alpine, the route, all along, is a feast for the eye with a raft of vegetation, landscapes, wildlife, and human settlements, farms and tribal culture of every hue and shade. For the adventure-minded, there is probably no better bargain than this package to not only absorb the grandeur of the mighty Himalayas but also to learn about its crown jewel – the Kingdom of Bhutan – at close quarters.

Sights enroute

The glacial valleys of western, central and eastern Bhutan with their mind-boggling beauty; the pristine and primeval Himalayan flora and fauna; hamlets, farms, local tribes and other expressions of Bhutanese life and culture; castles, fortresses, monasteries and other living monuments; prayer flags, religious festivals, myths and legends that lend an air of mysticism about the “Last Shangri-La” on earth.
